This was an image that popped up in my head and I had to ‘release’ it on canvas. I knew immediately that I want to use acrylic paint to achieve a certain look. The image in my mind was not in color, but most of the DJ/music stuff can be very black/grey, so I decided to make it more fun and add ‘happiness’ to this Happy Place.👏🏻😁

Sometimes I feel "puzzled" by social media, don't you? How do I do this, how do I do that, why does it matter to some how many followers you have, why is my friend pretending to be someone else, where can I find the event, why are they saying what they're saying.. and I could go on and on. I'm sure we have all asked ourselves one of these questions at some point.
And so I had to get it off of my chest. haha
Since I felt puzzled by all my questions and the technology, I thought to myself... "What else represents a puzzle better than Rubik's Cube!"
And "The Puzzle" was born. :-)

In 2018, I took a photo of an old keyhole in Croatia. I was so drawn to it. I didn't know how I'm going to use it, but I knew I needed to capture it. When I was trying to figure out the third idea for The Golden Series, I remembered the photo. I wanted to make everything a little bit smaller so the viewer's initial reaction would be to make a step or two closer to the painting as you would do to get a better view when looking through a keyhole. Have you ever been "tempted" to look through one? :-)
As a woman, I wanted this to be a classy women's club only with all the "temptations" one could find in such a place.
And just like that "The Temptation" was born.

In 2018, I walked into an art gallery in Barcelona, where I fell in love with a photograph of an old Cuban kitchen. I didn’t make the purchase because the shipping to L.A. was like €3,000 !!! 😳 I figured I’ll be able to find something similar in the U.S. ...but I was wrong. 😃 I decided to take on the challenge and try to paint it. I was able to find an image online that had the same main features like the one in the gallery in Barcelona. I knew from the start that I wanted to incorporate the vibrant and fun colors that you can see on the streets of Havana... 😉 Can you find the Cuban flag?
I also wanted to deliver a message by using the contrast of the old kitchen and the perfectly perfect flowers in the middle. If you look closely, the vase has no water, which tells us that the flowers are not real, natural because there is no such a thing as perfection in the real world, in nature. Perfect can be only achieved artificially.

This painting was inspired by the SoCal rainy winter, the idiom that goes with it, and of course the magical rainbow that comes with rain.
I wasn’t 💯 sure if I should go for it, but one evening I went for a walk and saw a cat in a driveway, and then I looked at the front lawn of the house and saw a realtor sign with the last name Wolf!!! I mean that’s pretty close to a dog, so of course I took it as a sign that I should proceed with my painting idea. 😃👏🏻
The moral of the story is, if you look for something magical, you’ll find it! 💫✨

I felt a little bit sad one day and went outside to paint to hopefully feel better, and to find my inner happiness again. I lost track of time and got completely immersed in this abstract creation. When I finished it, I felt so much better.
The power of art is undeniable. And yes, I found my inner happiness again, that's where the "happiness" part in the title comes from.
Read below to learn why there is the word "autumn" in the title. :-)

Shout out to my talented friend Isabelle (10 years) for helping me one day with canvas edges taping, canvas toning, and for creating the cool texture using leaves that we have collected on our November walk.
That's the "autumn" part in the title.

I have decided to create an abstract artwork dedicated to all the good and devoted moms out there. I went with pastel colors background, because my mom loves pastel colors, and so do I. They evoke happiness, and positivity in me, which could relate to the time when a mother gets to hold her baby for the first time. If you look closely, there is a texture underneath the entire artwork. It’s not a pattern of any kind, these are unique marks that refer to our very own uniqueness and beauty. The simplicity of the outline reflects the simplicity of our lives when we are born, and the crossed lines refer to the bond between mother and her child, and how they are intertwined for life. Please notice that the lines don’t have endings. I left them open on purpose, because from the moment we are born, our endings are unknown.💫✨

Created for a newly remodeled B&W laundry room. I decided to paint a colorful image of a European street with laundry hanging outside a window. Also added a couple of requests from the client - a red bra and a cat. Can you find both? :-)

This was commission work.
The request was for hot air balloons, 8”x10” size, on acrylic paper.
I sat down with the art collector one day, and asked her about her story.
She absolutely loves hot air balloons thanks to her magical childhood memory.
Her family used to go to Del Mar to visit family members, and that’s where she saw the beautiful balloons.
This memory holds a special place in her heart.
She left the entire project to me, only mentioning her favorite hot air balloon pattern and color - turquoise.
I tried to think of her as a little girl watching the balloons.
And then I imagined what I would want to see or feel.
It’s an acrylic painting but I marked it as mixed media because I used watercolor for the sky/background.
I used blue and green to create a turquoise effect.
It just had a better and lighter feel than a solid acrylic paint.
And I wanted the balloons to stand out since they were the main “characters” in the story.
And voilà, “Beautiful Balloons” artwork was born. 😊
She loved it so much, she cried, and that melted my heart with an extreme joy that I was able to bring her childhood memory to life forever. ❤️
I was so inspired that I wrote a poem a few days later and gave it to her. ✍🏻💫✨
